The contract was a two stage design and construction of a new single storey Science Block to BIM Level 2, an extension to the existing sports changing rooms and refurbishment works to the existing school building. Undertake external works which includes hard and soft landscaping, new incoming services, drainage works, sprinkler installation and new canopies interlinking various school blocks.

The new Science Block has 5 no. science classrooms, all with laboratory facilities, and an IT classroom. The space released within the main block will be re-modelled and refurbished to house Design & Technology, Music, Art, Cookery, Textiles and General teaching classrooms. Part of the refurbishment works is to create a specialist catering training facility and small training restaurant.

All works were being carried out on a “live” site with the school fully occupied during the contract period.
